Matoa Nduga || The Task Forces of the Para Raider Infantry Battalion 503/Mayangkara Kostrad, one of the military units under the command of the Indonesian Armed Forces Operational Command (KOOPS TNI) HABEMA, is currently carrying out the mobile security at the border of Indonesia and Papua New Guinea, especially in Nduga Regency area, Papua Pegunungan Province.
On Monday, 1 July 2024, the 503 Task Forces held a territorial activity entitled "Blessing Day" while patrolling in the Kenyam District, specifically the Matoa Village.
Bringing several food packages that had been previously prepared at the Quary Atas Post, the 503 Task Forces Patrol Team distributed the food packages to every resident they met during the patrol.
The bright Monday was used by the 503 Task Forces to share food and communicate with the residents to find out security developments in the Matoa Village. The implementation of this Blessing Day program was directly led by the Post Commander named First Lieutenant Rizky.
The presence of the Soldiers in the Matoa Village area was welcomed happily by the residents who had the opportunity to meet face to face and receive food packages.
By maintaining security during the program, harmonious communication interactions between the TNI Soldiers and residents have resulted in a close relationship between the two parties.
Considering that the patrol and food distribution were relatively early in the morning, several residents who received the food responded enthusiastically because they had not had time to eat breakfast at that time.
"Thank you, Bapak Tentara (Army Soldier), for the food. We can eat first this morning," said two small children who were met the Soldiers.
The two children are residents of the Matoa Village, named Ester Wakerkwa and Rina Nimiangge.
"The Blessing Day program by the 503 Task Forces in the Matoa Village is a TNI initiative to implement inclusive Social Communication, as an effort to accelerate the development of the Papua region," said the HABEMA Commanding General, Brigadier General Lucky Avianto, upon receiving the program report.
